3 Bound Stacks of 1973 $1 Dollar Canadian Bills via /r/numismatics

3 Bound Stacks of 1973 $1 Dollar Canadian Bills

I recently came across 3 stacks of uncirculated One Dollar Canadian Bills (Guessing theres 300 of them? – I don't want to take them out of the bands as I believe they've been sitting in my grandmas cupboard since 1973).

The signatures at the bottom are Crow & Bouey and the # all begin with BCC. Several are in sequential order – not sure how many but they are not in order, in the bands.

They notes are very crisp, bright and very good condition. A few of them have VERY small folds in the corners.

I have no experience with selling items like this. Where's my best option to find exactly how much they're worth? Everything I research online doesn't show anything about the "BCC" serial numbers. Any ideas or helpful comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

$10 1901 Buffalo Note via /r/numismatics

$10 1901 Buffalo Note

My sister sent this picture to me. I'm fairly certain it's some sort of commemorative collectible, but I can't find anything about it online. Her husband was handed a "few" of them. I figured someone here may recognize and help with identifying it. Thanks in advance!

Help educate me… I know about the Atocha and that the scribe on the back is relatively recent, but what is the meaning of the stamp on the face? Is this a partial piece of eight? via /r/numismatics

Can someone help me figure out these $2’s? via /r/numismatics

Can someone help me figure out these $2’s?

http://bit.ly/2mQYWj6

I've been buying $2 bill straps from my brother's bank to look through them for anything interesting, and I found these in a strap last night. There are 17 total, all series 1995 in almost perfect condition. The serial numbers are not in sequence, but they all start with the same two numbers and end with the same four. The third and fourth number are different on each bill though.

Has anyone seen something like this before? Does anyone know what they might be worth as a set of anything?

Possible Roman Coin via /r/numismatics

Possible Roman Coin

Hello everyone. I am posting on behalf of my father who is obsessed with metal detecting and numismatics.

He has come across a coin metal detecting (we live on Long Island in New York, so this is very odd to me), which appears to be a coin of Roman origin. There is an outline of a face resembling an emperor. I also noted on the back is an eagle. I know from Art History courses that the eagle was often used as a symbol of the god Jupiter, which Roman Emperors often likened themselves to.

I have a few questions: Is this real? Why would it be on Long Island? When is it from? Where is it from? If it is an Emperor, who is it? What time period is it from?

Edit: Link to the album, duh: http://bit.ly/2mAkuzj

I have many photos (only 6 are linked) which shows various shots of the coin. If anyone wants to see more, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any help.
